Day 14- North Tulsa Barbecue

One of the positive things about a burnt dinner is an excuse to eat out. I had a wrestling dual in north Tulsa so Dana loaded up the kids to go and watch the show...hungry. After we won, we decided to go to a barbecue restaurant in the neighborhood. Hungry kids do not allow for a lot of drive time. While we were waiting on our order I decided to start a conversation with a gentleman that was waiting as well. If you are wondering how to turn small talk in to a spiritual conversation, always carry tracts.

Me: Hi, how are you?
Gentleman: Fine.
Me: Did you get one of these?
Gentleman: What is it?
Me: It's a gospel tract. Do you have a church background?
Gentleman: Yes, I just came from church.

This gentleman is the pastor of St. Luke Missionary Baptist. Dana and I had a great conversation with Pastor Blades and we look forward to continued contact. Sometimes starting a spiritual conversation can be very fearful, but once you jump you may find someone just as friendly as Pastor Blades.
