Day 5- The school custodian

My first day back to work was today and the excuse that I'm too busy to witness haunted every minute of my day. By 5:30 pm, I had not initiated a spiritual conversation and I knew that once I got home it was unlikely that I would make contact with anyone. As usual I began my day praying for opportunities and this prayer continued as I was making my way home from work. Wouldn't you know it, I ran into the school janitor as I approached the exit! I have shared the gospel with him before and it was like nailing jello to a wall. I would consider this meeting more of a follow-up. Long story short, after discussing the weather, I asked him if he was still reading a book over the souls of animals. He indicated that he was and that he really enjoyed it. As the conversation progressed, I asked him about life after death. His answer was all over the place and I felt that it was necessary to tell him that he had no idea what he was talking about in the most polite way possible. I told him that picking and choosing what beliefs he would like to have was like building a house on sand. I explained to him that the Bible is the absolute standard for truth and that we are to conform to the Bible, we cannot pick and choose what we want to believe. I then encouraged him to read his Bible (he indicated that he has one). I informed him that if he had any questions, I would love to be of assistance. I see him daily and I look forward to the continued follow-up.
