Day 47- My Sister's Neighbor

This evening at my sister's house, I suddenly realized that I had not witnessed to anyone today. There was just enough sunlight where I figured I may run into someone doing some yard work. I went outside and stood at the end of her driveway. I looked east and found nobody. I turned west and it looked like a ghost town. I then began to think about taking a walk or perhaps knocking on a door, when all of the sudden the neighbor directly across the street walked out to check for mail. Her hair was bright red and spiked. Her nails where painted black, and she had several tattoos on her arms and across her neck. She was Catholic and explained to me that she would get to heaven through penitence. When I asked her to explain penitence, she politely informed me that it was too cold and that she needed to get back inside. I wished her a good night and watched her walk back inside reading a gospel tract. There was nothing profound about the conversation today, but I'm positive that it wasn't simply a coincidence that I ran in to her tonight. I later found out that my sister has attempted to witness to her in the past, but she claimed that she was into witchcraft.

Penitence
–noun
