On a walk, I noticed a car stopped by the side of the road. The driver looked lost, and did not appear to be going anywhere until he noticed me approaching. As he began to accelerate, I raised my arm to get his attention.
Me: Pardon me. I was wondering if you can tell me how to get to heaven?
Man: This is heaven.
Me: If this is heaven, where is hell?
Man: I don't know. You tell me.
Me: The Bible describes hell as a bottomless pit, and a place of complete darkness. Hell will feel like a constant free fall and you won't see a thing. The Bible says that all liars will have their part in the lake of fire, which is another term for hell. Have you ever told a lie?
Man: Yes, everyone has told a lie. I think that each individual will have a chance to reconcile to God, but I also believe that people have to forgive themselves. It is a process that we all have to go through.
Me: You are right when you say that everyone has to reconcile with God. The Bible says that it is appointed for man once to die then the judgment. We will all have to stand before God and give an account of every word, thought, and deed. Every thought that you ever had has been seen by God. That is why we need Jesus.
He nods in agreement as I see the car beginning to role forward. He refused to take a gospel tract.
2 Corinthians 5:20- Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.
