Day 163- All Paths Lead to God

What do you do when your wife likes to shop? Hang outside of the stores and do some witnessing! Today I met an older man who was waiting for a bus. I approached him with a gospel tract and asked if he had a church background.

Man: I do.

Me: Where do you go?

Man: I attend the Spiritual Community.

Me: The Spiritual Community? That sounds different. Does it have a different gospel?

Man: A different gospel? Yes, if you believe that Jesus is the only way. We believe that there are many paths to the great divine.

Me: Why do you believe that Jesus is not the only way?

Man: What makes you think that he is?

I asked him if he had ever told a lie, stolen, blasphemed God's name, or had a lustful thought. His demeanor gradually became much more agitated as he confirmed that he has fallen short of God's standard. I heard his bus pulling up behind me as he said, "I see where you are going. You are referring to sin. I have to go." Next time you encounter someone with an interesting name for a church, ask them if their gospel is as creative as the name. If they say that there are many paths, just agree with them. Then inform them that judgment is everyone's path, but there is only one way to heaven.
