Day 353- Christmas and the Cross

I pulled up to get gas tonight when I noticed a man staring at me on an adjacent pump. He was wearing all black and kept his hands in his pockets. As I got out of the car, he continued to stare. I couldn't decide if he was going to rob me or ask for eternal life. It turns out he was looking for eternal life. I asked him if he knew the true meaning of Christmas to which he responded, "family." He then politely returned the same question….just as I had hoped. I shared the gospel with Dustin, but the greatest part about this encounter was his response when I said, "You were the one that should have been crucified, but Jesus took your place." The look on his face was priceless! He took a step back, his eyes were the size of saucers, and I watched his look of surprise turn to reflection. He said, "I never thought about it quite like that before. That makes a lot of since." This Friday, Dustin will experience his first Christ centered Christmas. As you are unwrapping your gifts this year, don't forget the only gift that everyone needs, salvation.
