Day 355- Science 101

To many, this will be one of the most boring posts that you have ever read. Enjoy.

Diffusion is the movement of water from a high concentration to a low concentration. Osmosis is the diffusion of molecules from a high concentration to a low concentration. Are you asleep yet? When there is more of a dissolved substance outside of a cell, such as salt, water will diffuse outside of a cell until there is an equal ratio of molecules both inside and out. The same thing occurs if there is an increase of salt within a cell. Water will rush in through osmosis to create an equal ratio and in some cases cause the cell to burst. Why the science lesson today? Today I was witnessing with a large number of friends at the court house today and my science mind began to think about the ratios of 'molecules.' I was witnessing to an individual and all around me I would hear "repent" or "believe." Evangelist had invaded the semi-permeable membrane and the court house was filled with the good news of Jesus Christ. Isn't science fun!!
