Day 36- A Hint of Alcohol

I stopped by the bus stop today and witnessed to a man with a long gray beard and a hint of alcohol on his breath. He was very friendly and often referred to me as "sir." He mentioned that when he died he would be judged and he had no idea what would happen to him. I explained to him that he would be judged by such a perfect standard as the ten commandments. Next, as if a veil had been lifted from his eyes, he suddenly understood the gospel. He did not argue that God was just and he expressed great concern in regard to life after death. At one point he stared off into the sky and commented, "I never looked at it quite like that before." I then asked him if he remembered what happened over two thousand years ago and he responded, "Jesus." I then commented, "That's correct. He took your place when He shed His blood upon the cross." Suddenly, he jumped out of his seat and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Bus! Stop! Bus!" The bus had arrived and he quickly sprinted away. As he ran after the bus he said, "If you see me again, I would like to talk more."
