Day 92- Remembering the Price

The gospel never gets old. I love to hear someone sharing the gospel, and I really enjoy sharing it with others. For me, sharing the gospel is a constant reminder to myself that I have been bought with a price. When I think about what was done on the cross, an overwhelming since of gratitude consumes me. In a grocery store parking lot, I ran into four teenagers. One indicated that he used to be active in the church, but now he no longer is interested. I asked what happened and he informed me that two people very close to him had passed away. I then asked if he felt like it was God's fault that they had passed and he nodded in agreement. I shared the gospel with this small group, but put a heavy emphasis on the wrath of God. I informed them that God crushed His Son on the cross. God's wrath was poured upon Him. Then I asked if they knew the most popular verse in the Bible. Each was quick to reply, "John 3:16!" That's right. For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Isn't he a kind God? He took your place! Unfortunate things will happen, it is a part of life. However, God was so kind to provide a way where you can stand before Him, forgiven.
