This morning I was getting coffee at a convenience store when I noticed a man smoking a cigarette. He was wearing a hat turned backwards and had several piercings in one of his eyebrows. It was just before church.
Me: Good morning! Did you know that you are about to miss church?
Man: The universe is my church!
Me: What does the universe think about liars, thieves, and blasphemers?
Man: I believe in karma.
Me: Have you lied, stolen, and taken the Lord's name in vain?
Man: Yes.
Me: What are you going to do on judgment day if the Bible is true?
Man: I have accepted Jesus so I'm going to be fine.
Me: Jesus doesn't believe in karma.
I didn't have a lot of time to share this morning. My family was waiting for me in the car. I shared with him a few Bible verses and left him with a tract. Do you stop for coffee before church? Next time, take a few minutes to remind someone that church is about to start.
