Day 229- Anyone Listening?

While open air preaching, a lady walked up to me and stated, "That took courage and conviction." That was nice of her to say, but it takes love. Ray Comfort used this analogy: If a blind man is walking towards a cliff, are you going to tell him? A friend of mine recently stated, "I cannot and will not sit idly by and bask in my salvation while the world around me perishes!" Preaching in public can seem foolish, and if you look at this picture, it may not appear that they are listening. I remember when I encountered my first open air preacher. I avoided him at all cost. I tried desperatly to tune out his voice because I knew that it was truth. Today I spoke the truth in love. I said, "I realize that this may appear a bit foolish, but I couldn't sleep at night knowing that I didn't tell you the truth. I have sinned and fallen short of God's standard, and so have you, but God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son that whosever shall believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life."
