Day 345- Suit and Tie

I'm thankful that Mormons wear their special little outfits when they go out witnessing. Do you know what I'm talking about? Their shirts are always white with a collar, their pants are black, they have a cute little name tag beginning with Elder followed by their last name, and did you know that they wear special underwear as well? My personal opinion is that their dress turns many people away from their religion. I thought about that today as I approached a lady named Katie. I had an important meeting so I was wearing a suit and tie. When I turned the conversation toward the things of God, Katie could not wait to get away from me. She said, "Religion is a personal thing to me and I will not discuss my beliefs with you." Katie was the second person in just a few short minutes that treated me like a leper. At first I was confused by their responses, but I'm willing to bet it had to do with my outfit. There is such thing as being overdressed for the occasion. In regard to witnessing, I think I will look for a wedding next time I want to witness in a suit and tie.
